About me

I’m Chelsea, and I’m the founder of Squidge Essentials.  I created Squidge Essentials in 2020 after we had just bought some basic drink bottles for school, and they seemed expensive and boring.  I wanted to create a place where people could find the best drink bottles in the World, for a fair price, to help their health and the environment.

I spent months working with different manufacturers and trialling dozens of samples, until I found the right mix of function, style and price.

I’m hoping that everyone who visits Squidge finds their new favorite drink bottle, at the same time as making the World a slightly better place.

P.S. People often ask why my business is called Squidge.  When I was little, my Dad started calling me Squidge as a nickname.  It started meaning all of the good things about me, so that when I was being kind, creative, determined and grateful, I was being Squidgy.  When I spent too long in the shower, didn’t clean my room, or didn’t eat my vegetables, well, that was not so Squidgy.  So in our house, Squidginess came to mean everything that was good in the World, and everything I could do to make it better.
