For People Without Water

Squidge is dedicated to helping the world’s most disadvantaged people to access clean water.  We donate $2 from every bottle sold to the Dispensers for Safe Water Program, a charity with a focus on providing safe water supply across the world.

The World Health Organisation estimates that 785 million people lack even a basic drinking water service including 144 million people who are dependent on surface water.  They estimate that globally at least 2 billion people access their drinking water from a source contaminated by faeces. 

Evidence Action’s ‘Dispensers for Safe Water’  program (https://www.evidenceaction.org/dispensersforsafewater/) provides uniquely designed chlorine dispensers to communities with contaminated water supplies.  The chlorine dispensed is at a safe and pre-measured dose and remains active for 2-3 days, keeping drinking water safe even when it is carried back to households.  The program provides over 4 million people with free and reliable access to safe water reducing preventable diseases such as diarrhoea and saving children’s lives.  The program provides clean water at a cost of $1.28 per person each year. 

When you purchase one Squidge bottle you’re providing clean safe drinking water to two people across the World for almost a whole year.
